During my first visit to Svalbard we ventured out on our first overnight trip to a small wood cabin in Bjorndalen (bear valley).  As the sun had set for the year we had to make do with 6 hours of twilight.  This was my first experience of walking in a landscape where polar bears live.  It was an intense experience, I saw a looming polar bear in every unusual rock formation.
