Walking to the Sunrise, St David’s Peninsular, Pembrokeshire
Oil on birch panel. 60cm x 84cm Unframed
Getting up early to watch a sunrise is like a mini pilgrimage for me. I like to be walking as the sky lightens. The dark landscape feels fluid and shifting, sometimes in a rather menacing way. This composition had a title before I knew it was going to be a painting.

I love Haiku. I make no claims that the verse I write in response to landscape or studio practice is Haiku, but I am influenced by the art form.
